I had major knee surgery in my senior year of high school in January. I was a captain of both the lacrosse and football teams at Darien High School. I trained with John throughout my whole recovery period up until I left to play lacrosse at Bryant University. This was a period of increasing my upper body strength to the strongest I had ever been, and getting my knee back up to par. John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning improved my strength to the point that when I left for school, I was one of the strongest incoming freshman for the Division 1 lacrosse team, regardless of the fact that I had surgery less than nine months prior. Without John as my trainer, my right leg that atrophied severely for the first few months after surgery would have been an extreme problem for me in continuing my lacrosse career. With his constant help and guidance with conditioning and weight training, I was able to return to my pre-injury status and even go beyond that to become a stronger and better player. “I walked into training camp so confident that I had the right preparation for the moment, I was as big, fast, and strong as I could be.”
