I first started training with John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning during my college days at Loyola University. I was immediately drawn to John’s workouts because they worked all aspects of being a great athlete: endurance, strength, speed, balance. I was becoming a better more competitive athlete from training with John. I continued to work with John as I started my pro career as a Boston Cannon, and again immediately saw improvement from his workouts. I HIGHLY recommend JC Strength & Conditioning for any athlete, in any sport. In order to be the best, you have to train with the best!

The best part about working out with John is that he brings high energy and motivation to each and every workout, never letting you quit when you feel like your body has nothing left. John brings an expertise to his gym with his individualized workouts that are not only specific to your body, but also specific to your sport. Since training with John, I have climbed to the peak of my game, and can’t thank him enough for keeping me healthy and happy as I continue my career as a Major League Lacrosse goalie.

John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning has helped me grow stronger and faster as an athlete. John has helped me through physical therapy while never letting me slow down and stop growing. Although John works with a majority of Darien athletes, he has worked with myself, my brothers and my friends all from New Canaan. John is a very motivating trainer who will push you to do things you never would have thought you would be able to do. In high school I played Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, and Lacrosse. The transition from running to skating is very different and because of the use of different muscles there is always the possibility of injury. John has always prepared me well enough to prevent injury though the workouts that he designs. Thanks to John I am now at The University of Michigan playing D1 Lacrosse. Those looking to be a better athlete and play at the next level… John Carlozzi is who you need by your side from start to finish.

John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning was easily one of the biggest influences in my athletic career throughout high school and college.
Working with John Carlozzi throughout high school and college changed my body and game to be the best athlete I could be. John put me on a strict plan to eat better and work smarter in the gym to maximize my time and effort. Going from a 145 pound freshman to a 165-pound sophomore was a huge advantage, not to mention the strength that came along with more body mass. I was able to compete for a starting job as a sophomore on the Darien Lacrosse team, and held my own against some of the best competition in the country.
After being recruited to play Division 1 lacrosse at Loyola, there was only one person I trusted to guide me from my senior year in high school to my freshman year in college. This time I would be playing on one of the best teams in the country where every practice was like game day. The strength and endurance I had gained from working with John is the main reason I made it to that level. John helped me hit personal milestones for bench press, squats and sprints. John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning was easily one of the biggest influences in my athletic career throughout high school and college.
Now, 3 years out of college, I see the way he has changed my friends and kids I coached while they were youth players into the best athlete they can be. He is only getting better and developing more drastic results as he continues working with more and more athletes. I HIGHLY recommend John Carlozzi for any athlete, in any sport. In order to be the best, you have to train with the best!

Training at John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning has without a doubt made me a better athlete. Although difficult sometimes, the crazy, and mind blowing routines John puts you through make you better in the end. Often times you want to give up and quit, but he doesn’t care, he just wants what’s best for you, and that’s completing the workout. On the other hand, no mater how brutal the workout is, it always proves to be a good time. Whether it is flipping tires, pulling the sled a million times, or doing ridiculous bike sets, it is always a good time. JC Strength & Conditioning is a place that puts you through a lot of hell, but is also a great spot to workout.

I approached John Carlozzi when I was a 16-year-old junior in high school. I sought him out because I had personally witnessed the strides that those who worked with him had made. John turned average players into good players and good players into dominant athletes. John was a great trainer for my peers, and myself but he was a better role model. He embodied the hardworking mentality that he preached to us for so long. Personally I look up to John as an accomplished individual and also look at him as a lifetime friend. I recommend any athlete who has a ‘can do’ attitude to train with John because he will bring the best out of them. I found my experience with John rewarding both physically and mentally.

I had major knee surgery in my senior year of high school in January. I was a captain of both the lacrosse and football teams at Darien High School. I trained with John throughout my whole recovery period up until I left to play lacrosse at Bryant University. This was a period of increasing my upper body strength to the strongest I had ever been, and getting my knee back up to par. John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning improved my strength to the point that when I left for school, I was one of the strongest incoming freshman for the Division 1 lacrosse team, regardless of the fact that I had surgery less than nine months prior. Without John as my trainer, my right leg that atrophied severely for the first few months after surgery would have been an extreme problem for me in continuing my lacrosse career. With his constant help and guidance with conditioning and weight training, I was able to return to my pre-injury status and even go beyond that to become a stronger and better player. I walked into training camp so confident that I had the right preparation for the moment, I was as big, fast, and strong as I could be.

This past season I was the quarterback for the Darien High School football team. Our team, projected to go 7-4 at best, ended up with a 12-2 record and a birth in the State Championship game. Much of our success, and in particular my personal accomplishments, can be attributed to John Carlozzi and the incredible work John did for us as a team and me as an individual player. The past two off-seasons, I bought into John’s workout routine, and the results could be seen immediately.
With John’s extensive experience, and more importantly his personal investment to making his clients better, I was able to transform into the type of player I needed to be. On the surface, the results are apparent. Coming into high school, I bench pressed 115 pounds, and going into last season I was around 250, accompanied by one of the higher squat maxes on the team, but the numerical gains do not even begin to accurately represent the ways I benefited from working with John. By building my confidence, making me a better athlete, and truly becoming a great friend, John was crucial in the success my teammates and I shared this past season.

I owe John Carlozzi everything when it comes to athletic success. I’ve never worked out with anyone that I know I am guaranteed to get stronger every time I am in there and that is exactly how it feels working with John. He consistently motivates you and knows exactly how to make you better. John makes working out challenging and something that I look forward to every time I go.

I’ve worked with John Carlozzi for almost four years now, and the difference between the results of working with John rather than working elsewhere have been tremendous. John not only knows which workouts are best for athletes, he knows the athletes better than anyone. John takes the time to make bonds with people, rather than just pencil people in and move onto the next one. There are no easy days with John. Whether it is uppers, lowers, or even conditioning, you leave the workouts feeling better about yourself and your health. I strongly recommend working with John, because based on what he has done for our teams in the past few years, there’s no way we would be where we are without him. Love you buddy!

I have worked out with John Carlozzi for the past 4 years or so. Over this time we have forged both a professional and personal bond. John has helped me through knee, ankle, and back injuries while also pushing me to get stronger at each session. Over the summer and winter of my senior year his training in the weight room paved the way for my best seasons on both the soccer and lacrosse field: second leading scorer on the Darien Varsity Soccer team and leading the Darien Varsity Lacrosse team with 70 goals to an undefeated season. Now as I move on to play for the Brown University Men’s Lacrosse team, I feel that John has prepared me for the physical challenges of Division I college athletics.

Jimmy Joe Granito
Drexel University Starting Goalie
I began training with John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning the summer going into my freshman year of college and have continued working with John for the last 4 years. As a division 1 lacrosse goalie, the work I have done with John over the years has helped me better myself in every aspect of my game. Not only has John helped me develop and grow as an athlete, he also played a major role in my recovery after undergoing a back surgery in the fall of my sophomore year. With John’s help I was starting in the goal by the beginning of the season.
I would highly recommend John to any athlete that is serious about taking his game to the next level. Without John, I would not be where I am today as an athlete.

I started working with John Carlozzi Strength & Conditioning 2 years ago and have had an extremely positive experience. I look forward to every workout; John is constantly changing what we do and finding new ways to make you better. Whether it is pushing the sled, running up hills, flipping tires, or anything of the sort, he always pushes you to the limit. Working with John has not only been fun but also really helped to elevate my athletic abilities. If your looking to get bigger, stronger, and faster there is no where else to go.
Cord Fox
Darien High School
• Team captain, and undefeated champion varsity starter
I was first introduced to John Carlozzi after my sophomore football season at Darien High School. I had been told by the coaches that I would be fighting for a starting position the next year and that I needed to get stronger and be in better shape. I immediately started working with John three days a week after school and then once on the weekends at his gym. John had a very personalized approach for me and knew exactly what I had to work out in order for me to earn a spot on the varsity football team. When the season came around the following year, I was able to start at both offensive guard and defensive tackle. I had become exponentially stronger over the offseason working with John and he is, in large part, the reason I was able to succeed as a player. In addition to training myself, John also works with most of the other players on the football team in season and out of season making sure that we are keeping up our strength and conditioning. He pushes everyone to work their hardest and reach their true potential. In the last two years, we have gone undefeated and won back to back State Championships. John has played an integral role in that and he enabled us to be the strongest and best conditioned team on the field.
